 Foil Tape Class

I also 'played' with Aluminium FOIL TAPE - you know - the type of tape you buy on a roll at the local hardware store, and which hubby uses to seal pipes etc! Who would have thought that this tape creates the most amazing craft. It is adhesive, so no having to use glues, and is also flexible so can be dented in and raised without it tearing. My first class was an easy class - make a wall plaque using foil and scrapbook paper.

We started with a blank piece of greyboard, then using stencils and Statex (the paste with the fine grit in it), we created a scene on the board. Some pupils also added thin chipboard letters. Once dry, Aluminium tape was torn from the roll, the backing peeled of bit-by-bit, and pressed down over the board and scene. Using a paper stub, we pressed all around the images, and even created small dents in the background. The final process is to paint the whole covered board with black acrylic paint, let it dry a little, and then gently rub off with a dry cloth. Where the indentations are, the black paint will remain, Easy peasy. Hint: you can easily use diecut images under the foil tape.

 Mini Concertina Album

Have you ever made one of these small, but cute, Concertina Albums? It makes a really super gift, because you can put 20 small photos into it - it is double-sided, and flips over very easily. This one was made for a Stork Party to celebrate the arrival of a new baby.

I used 1 x A4 greyboard, 2 x double-sided scrapbook pages, 2 x single-sided patterned papers, 1 x plain cardstock to match, and glue, tape, velcro dots, and embellishments.
