Snowglobe Christmas card

Pattie's Creations current challenge, with the theme of "Christmas", is just in time for you to make all those Christmas cards! I'm hopeless with getting these done on time, and each year - after realising I am too late - I make a new resolution that 'next year' I will start earlier! mmmm no comment. BUT I've made a few now, including one for Patties' Creations Challenge #34, and with all the super images in her SHOP, it is very easy to take part in this challenge! So head on over to her BLOG and enter your card as we'd love to see what you have made, and you could win the prize to boot!!!

Ok, now for my card as part of the DT.... I used two images this time, the Cottage Snowglobe and one of the sentiments in the Xmas Sentiments set. I fell in love with the snowglobe image as I just KNEW that I could add BLING, more BLING, and then some more BLING!! Sorry, did I mention I love bling?

I wanted to make a raised plastic dome to fit around the circular edge of the stamp to create the illusion of the globe, but eventhough I tried REALLY hard to make my own moulded plastic globe, I just could not get one edge to follow my lead, so gave up after turfing 4 sheets of acetate into the bin!  Instead I converted the image into a 'shaker/easel' card, and if you look carefully you will see silver snowflakes scattered over the image, and under the flat acetate cover. I coloured with Copic pens and added lots and lots of glitter glue. Blue is not one of the traditional Christmas colours, but it works well with all the snow! The roses may seem 'out' yet my Lord Jesus is the "Rose of Sharon" and we are celebrating His birth at this time, and these roses are white as a symbol of purity.

Head on over to Pattie's Creations and see what the other DT members have put together!

Meet me 'online'

This digistamp was inspired by my new little 'kitty' called Caleb, who is like my shadow! If he is asleep near me and I get up, he wakes up and follows me, then lies down as close as possible to me. He has also developed the habit of lying behind my keyboard while I'm typing, and while this may be fine now, he certainly won't fit in that space in 6 months time! Anyway, I coudn't resist taking this photo, designing a digistamp from it, and making a card!!

Patties Creations Challenge #33 - Birthdays or Thanksgiving

Pattie's Creations challenge #33 is now active, with the theme of "Birthdays or Thanksgiving", and with all the super images in her SHOP, it is very easy to take part in this challenge! So head on over to her BLOG and enter your card as we'd love to see what you have done with the Patties Creation images! Ok, now for my card as part of the DT.... I used the Pocket Watch image, as I needed a card for my daughter's birthday coming up soon, and, as she loves everything vintage, I thought this image was perfect!

My bride

I agreed to let members have my winning bride image if they completed 5 cards from 5 different images on the CDAC Progressive Challenge #6. Soooooo, as I have also made 5 cards from 5 different images, I suppose I also qualify . Here is my card made with the bride image.

Country barn

My 5th card for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #6. What an unusual image, this time from Ginger Loft . I have never used a 'scenic' digistamp before, so I actually enjoyed colouring this one with my watercolour pencils, as it felt as if I was painting! Thanks for the super image, and here is my card. Plain, no fuss, no bling (mmmm), but a super end result.

Christmas candles

My 4th entry for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #6. This image is from Daisy Doodles, and because it is such a lovely image, I thought it would be best to keep the card SIMPLE, so after colouring in the image with my Copics, I only added some gold rub-on borders! I love this card.

I didn't forget!

My 3rd entry for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #6. The image I used is from Inked Treasures, and isn't this ellie just gorgeous? I coloured her in with Copics, added glitter to the bags, pasted her onto a Nestabilitiy die-cut scalloped circle, then added a few additional embellishments.

I love winter time

No, "I" do not love winter time, but this cute bear certainly does! My second entry for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #6. This gorgeous image is from Designed 2 Delight and as this image lends itself to lots of bling, guess what, I used LOTS of bling!!! Even the MS punched lace border is covered with a clear glitter.

Reach for the Stars

My first entry for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #6. The cute image is from Ellephantastic. This image is perfect for little boys cards, but I just saw a message to anyone about reaching for your dreams! I used my new MS all-over-the-page punch for the stars, and pasted a very shiny silver paper behind. Image was coloured in with Copics, and sentiment designed on the computer.

Flea market time

My sister and I decided to try our hand at a flea market again. She brought her scrapbooking items, scarves, and embroidered items, and I had my cards and necklaces. It took us ages to set up the little room (we are not experts at this yet!), but I think the end result was really cosy.

ðŸ˜žðŸ˜žðŸ˜ž WHAT HAPPENED? Unbelievable! I cannot fathom out WHY I stopped writing on my blog after May 2017!!! I also cannot remember what happ...
